REINFORCEMENT STEEL PROCESSING EQUIPMENTS

CABR/M has more than 30 years’ experience of designing and manufacturing equipments for reinforcing steel processing.CABR/M can provide: automatic stirrup bender,mesh welding equipment, coil straightening machine,bar shear line,automatic bar bending center,cage making machine,machine for couple link etc.Moreover,in order to satisfy requests from different customers,CABR/M could design special rebar processing equipments and provide professional technical assistance.

In China,reinforced concrete constructions consume more than 50 million tons rebar and coil,but most of these steel are processed on job site by manual machines.Along with the labour cost increasing and the developing requests of constructing efficiency and quality,automatic reinforcement steel processing equipments are required.We anticipate that 50% of the concrete steel will be processed in factories by automatic equipments in 10 years.In this way,about 5000 automatic reinforcement steel processing equipments are required.

Compared with job site manual machines,automatic equipments can reduce 90% waste of row material, save 70% consumption of power,save 50% working place,and improve processing efficiency  obviously.

Building steel bars are processed by manpower since long period of time in our country. Semi-mechanized processing of steel bar appeared since domestic processing equipments produced, mainly in construction site to work. Because of the lower performance, low automatic level and processing ability of steel bar processing machinery, this processing way restrict severely rising the modernization level of building construction, increasing the inconvenience for the construction management. It also needs more working strength, being difficult to control the quality, and has many disadvantages of low efficiency, waste of materials and energy, high cost of processing, occupying more places and produce high noise ,etc.

2.       Project content

Commercial processing and delivery of steel bar menas that in the special factory the wounded or straight steel bar is processed to steel bar products through certain procedure (straightening, cutting, curving, forming of steel bar mesh, mechanical connection of steel bar end; forming of large prefabricated steel bar element, like steel bar cage and trunk, etc.) by special mechanical equipment set for project on site to install. For the big project with long term of construction the factory may be located on the site or nearby to reduce the cost of transportation, but it’s working condition should meet requirement. This way of processing of the steel bar can be used instead of traditional way of processing on site by manpower or by semi-mechanical equipments. This way of processing has more features, like reducing cost, rising efficiency, high quality, assuring delivering, reducing wasting of steel bar and reducing energy consuming, etc.

Steel bar processing automatic mechanical equipment is one of steel bar machinery and pre-stressed machineries; it is suitable for use in the steel bar processing factory. It meets the requirement of processing procedures and can work automaticallyor semi-automatically. These equipments mainly are numerical controlled steel bar straightening and cutting machine, numerical controlled steel bar bending machine, steel bar mesh forming machine, steel bar cage forming machine, steel bar connection head making machine, steel bar cold processing equipment and other auxiliary equipment.

3.       Project’s significance and necessity

Construction of reinforced concrete structure building project is devided into three parts: Concrete, steel bar and steel mould board. The developing of these three parts reflects the level of building industrialization and construction technology in a country. The target of commercial processing and delivering steel bar is to change our backward situation of scattered processing of steel bar and to realize specialized and in a large scale run of steel bar processing as a base for implementction of advanced construction technik. This can be certainly to raise the project’s quality, reduce the project’s cost, raise the level of mechanized construction, and increase the economical and social efficiency to meet the requirement of social development.

3.1      Building industry needs urgently commercial processed and delivered steel bar.

1)         The necessary for development of country’s fundamental construction         

Building industry has been place in the one of the four industrial mainstays in the country’s economics. During “Tenth Five” the major investonent is still in the fundamental installations and residential building industry. Until 2005 the highway length reached 1.5 million km, train 75000 km, the harbor docks along the coast 1500, airports 150; before 2010 the real estate industry will grow continuously, in 2002 the buildings completed are for 110217 m2(housing is 57.8% in city and town); in 2005, that will reach 134000 m2 which will use steel 103.18 million tons. In 2010, that will reach 160000 m2, use steel 123.20 million tons. Large scale construction projects provide vast market needs for steel bar products.

2)         The necessary for development of building structure and new technik

Since reform and open to outside the fundamental installations of residential industry, power energy and communication grow continuously, the span and scale of reinforced concrete structure increase continuously, the requirement for life of usage of building and structure, for anti-earthquake, for enegy saving, for material saving is higher,  therefore difficulty for construction is increased. For all of these the traditional way of working on site by manpower cannot be adopted. Only commercial steel bar processing and delivering center can satisfy the requirement for the development of building structure and new technik. In 1999 the well-known document No.72 issued by office of the State Council required to develop and porularize actively the new technik, new equipment, new process and to complete the technik service on construction site and to realize providing for a complete set.

3)         The necessary for raising project’s quality and reducing project’s cost.

Steel bar commecial processing and delivering is based on specialization of steel bar processing, which adopts advanced technik and equipment to process in largse scale, through market competetion to promote the growing of steel bar processing enterprises. There is a contract relationship between users and enterprises that steel bars are processed by advanced technology in specialized equipment, on construction site it is only to manage and dispatch, simplifying the operation, reducing the waste, cutting largely the manpower, shorting the construction period, reducing the cost, facilitating quality check to avoid misuse of materials and ensure the quality and largely reducing the difficulty for management.

4)       The necessary for energy saving and environment protection

The traditional way is processing on site that is operated by hands, having high rate of rejects. Large quantity of materials on site and noise, dust powder due to on site processing interfers with people and pollutes the environment.

Using commercialized steel bar can save resources and protect environment.

5)       The necessary for reform of management system of construction enterpries

For a long time our building construction depends on large quantity of manpower and hand operation which has low efficiency. At present our building enterprises are carrying on the reform, establishing the managing system suitable for socialist marketing economics, changing the “big and complete”, “small and complete”mould, changing background situation of construction, making specalizaed working and in large scale run. Construction enterprises are transforming from labour concentration type to specialized construction management type. The development of steel bar commencial processing and delivering project meets the need of reform of building construaion enterprises.

6)         The necessary for connection with interational market.

At present foreign building company takes only 2% of domestic market share.        

After entering WTO, domestic market will open to outside to some extent, as a result foreign contractor and steel bar company will enter domestic market more. This will promote technical progress in our building industry but also impact our building construction enterprises. Therefore, development of steel bar commercial processing and delivering center will meet requirement of market, promote technical progress of domestic construction enterprises and steel bar manufacturing and processing enterprise, facilitating their participation of international competetion.

3.2      Steel bar commercial delivery will bring about new opportunity for metallurgical industry

   After entering WTOdomestical metallurgical industry faces a severe challenge, market competition home and abroad is even intensive, many company’s profit reduced. One of major contents of “Tenth Five”plan for metallurgical industry is requlation of the industrial structure to let metallurgical enterproise “reduce output, increase profit”, limit output of steel products which have low profit, high waste and lack ability of competition, increase output of new steel products with high technik and high added value. For the steel bar manufactures, they can form the steel bar processing and delivering center using their advantages (fundametal facilities, abundant raw materials) to develop deep processing project of building steel bar, providing directly steel bar products to construction site instead of traditional sales of raw materials. This manner is not only increasing the added value of peoducts of metallurgical enterprises to create new economic growing point, but also rising the service quality for building industry.

4.       Project’s advantages——Comparison between modern steel bar

processing and delivering center and traditional processing on site

―Reduce the cost: Commercial steel bar can be made from common steel matericals (non-standard length steel bar, the price is lower than standard length one for 200-300yuan/ton), obviously reducing the waste of raw materials, saving all kind of cost; —Using of modern automatic steel bar processing equipments reduces largely the cost of manpower, let working efficiency per worker be raised 8-10 times in average.—Reducing material’s waste rate and energey consumption. —Production management system comtrolled by computer can reduce the errors in the production almost to zero without losses.

5.       Project investment suggestion

This project just begins in our country and knowledge of this new provide organization is not clear enough by the market. In addition, because of high automatic level of major equipments we don’t have enough experiences and knowladge of these equiments. These kinds of equipment and technik just begin to develop in our country. Our Institute starts to develop a complete set of automatic building steel bar processing equiment at first in the country in cooperation with Italian . We can provide a complete set of reliable equipment, technik and project’s solution; We are familiar with domestic condition of market and technik, having ability to layout the project, making reasonable technological design, having ability to do local technical support, aftersales service and coorporation to ensure normal operation of the project and provide fast, low cost service, provide production management experences, training uers and related person; Project provider should have domestic specialized technical support to ensure the introduced production management system which must meets domestic technik standard and must be compatible with related domestic design software; The equipment provided must satify requirement of domertic related stcundard; Provider also should be familiar with domectic building market to surrort for user’s marketing promotion; We can help user step by step to revise state and company’s buliding steel bar standards for preparation of enlarging the production scale and establishing more lcoations for steel bar processing in the future.
